Even if you use tap water, its composition may not be ideal for a hot tub. We always recommend testing the water with test strips and adjusting the pool water using pool chemicals as needed. If you have a hot tub with a saltwater system, you must add suitable salt and run the saltwater system regularly - the salt then produces chlorine to disinfect the water.
