If code 90 appears on the display, it means that the sensor has detected low or no water flow. There could be several causes:
1. Make sure the filter pump is running.
2. The filtration run time is set to a shorter time than the saltwater system run time. Set the filter pump operation one hour longer than the saltwater system operation.
3. If you need to turn on the BOOST function for more than 12 hours and you have an INTEX sand filter pump, switch the filter pump to FP mode, which will turn off the filtration timer and the filtration will run continuously.
4. The pump must be powerful enough and have the correct flow rate. Check the compatibility of all devices.
5. The pool must be filled with water to such a level that the pool inlet and outlet are completely submerged below the water level.
6. Ensure that the valves are open.
7. Check the filter media (cartridge, sand, fiber balls) and clean it if there are leaves or debris on it.
8. Check for trapped air in the filtration system and in the saltwater system. If so, release it. Refer to the user manual for venting instructions.
9. Check the direction of the water inlet and outlet. If the hoses are incorrectly installed, relocate them.
10. Make sure the flow sensor is clean. Refer to the user manual for further information.
11. The electrode, which in most cases also contains the flow sensor, should be cleaned in vinegar. Follow the instructions in the user manual.
12. Check that the flow sensor is properly connected.
13. Defective flow sensor. If the sensor is part of the electrode, the entire electrode must be replaced. If the sensor is a separate spare part, only the flow sensor can be replaced. Depends on the year of manufacture of the saltwater system.
NOTE: Always switch off the saltwater system when cleaning or servicing.
