What should I do to maintain the filter pump?

Apply petroleum jelly to the O-rings located under the filter housing to minimize cracking of the seals. Check the hoses for leaks and replace if necessary. Make sure the filter media (cartridges, sand, fiber balls) is clean. If necessary, clean or replace as recommended in the user manual.

High chlorine level in the spa

Too high a chlorine concentration can damage the hot tub - from staining the tub and warping the PVC to degrading the heater or filter pump. Always test the water before adding chlorine, and always blow out and store the hot tub if it is inactive for long periods of time.

No chlorine - No error code QS200

Even with a properly functioning solinator, the chlorine level may be low if the water is biologically laden or the chlorine is degraded by the sun. The solution may be to run the solinator longer, use a chlorine shock, or modify the conditions in the water.

No chlorine - No error code QS400

Low chlorine levels even with a working solinator may be due to high biological load in the water or chlorine degradation from solar radiation. It is recommended to use the boost function, clean the electrodes and cover the hot tub when not in use.

Saltwater systems – error 90

An error 90 on a solarator indicates poor or no water flow. If the solinator is properly wired and filtration is running correctly, then the venting, filter media, water level, compatibility of all equipment, electrode and flow sensor should be checked.

Salt for saltwater systems, swimming pools, and whirlpools

Salt can be used to disinfect the pool water by electrolysis in the salinator, during which chlorine is produced. There are different salts with different admixtures, but we recommend buying only pool salt certified for use with solinators to avoid unnecessary problems.

What should I do if jewelry falls into the cartridge filter pump?

Before entering the pool, you must remove all sharp-tipped items and jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings. These types of sharp objects can damage the PVC ring. Small jewelry can get sucked into the filter and cause serious damage. If they get stuck in the cartridge, try following the instructions for cleaning the cartridge in the user manual. Remove the cartridge and try to remove the trapped jewels by turning the filter upside down.
