Backwash for the Sand filter pump

Backwashing is important to maintain proper pressure and cleanliness of the filtration system. The procedure varies depending on the valve type - 4-way and 6-way - and ensures effective cleaning of newly placed sand.

Codes 91 and 92

Error E91 indicates low salt content, while E92 indicates too high. To achieve the correct concentration, the salt must either be added evenly or reduced by partial water change. The key is to dissolve consistently and check the values against the recommended tables.

Fiber Ball Filtration Media

Filter beads serve as an alternative to sand fill in sand pool filters, with 500 g of beads equivalent to 18 kg of sand. The beads should be stacked close together to form a compact filter layer. A backwash or machine wash function can be used for cleaning.

High/low pressure in Sand filter Pumps

Pressure problems in the sand filtration can be caused by improper installation, the presence of air bubbles, or contaminated filter media. Low pressure is often related to inadequate system venting, while high pressure indicates the need for backwashing. Proper positioning of the pump below the water level is also important.

Hoses and connecting to other Intex products

The connection of the pool to the filtration depends on the diameter of the hoses and the type of accessories. The overview of compatible hose adapters and connection options for various INTEX pool and filtration combinations will facilitate correct installation, including skimmer mounting and the use of adapters A and B.

Positioning of the hoses

The connection hose coming out of the motor body must be connected to the valve inlet. If it is connected to the outlet, the pump will only operate in the "N" position. Connect the hose coming from the motor to the inlet of the valve. A sand filtration set up in this way will work.

Release air for the Sand filter pump

When venting the sand filtration, first turn off the filtration. Then put the lever in the "N" position and release the vent valve. Close it again as soon as water starts to flow out. Unscrew the cap on the outlet or hose at the top. As soon as water starts to flow, screw it back on. Put the lever in the "filtration" position and switch on the filtration.

Salt for saltwater systems, swimming pools, and whirlpools

Salt can be used to disinfect the pool water by electrolysis in the salinator, during which chlorine is produced. There are different salts with different admixtures, but we recommend buying only pool salt certified for use with solinators to avoid unnecessary problems.

Saltwater system BOOST (= INCREASED PERFORMANCE)

The BOOST function on the solinator allows a one-time increase in chlorine production beyond the standard time limit of 12 hours. It is used for intensive cleaning of the pool water. The settings are available in the user manual.
