Correct installation of the saltwater system is key. In the water circulation, the saltwater system should always be downstream of the filter pump, unless it is directly a part of the filtration.
Code 90 means that there is no or little water flowing through the saltwater system. This may be caused by several things:
- Water must flow in the right direction in the circulation system. Check the connection of the filtration or other equipment according to the user manuals.
- Filtration is not running. If the saltwater system is not a built-in part of the filtration, the filtration must be switched on before the saltwater system and switched off after the saltwater system has finished operating.
- The filtration is set to run for a shorter time than the saltwater system. Set the filtration to run one hour longer than the saltwater system.
- If you need to activate the BOOST function for more than 12 hours and you have an INTEX sand filter pump, switch the filter to FP mode, which will disable the filter timer and keep it running continuously.
- The filtration medium must be clean and the system bled.
- The pool must be filled with water to a level so that the pool inlet and outlet are completely below the water level.
- The pump must be powerful enough and achieve correct flow rate. Check the compatibility of all equipment.
- The electrode, which in most cases also includes a flow sensor, needs to be cleaned in vinegar water. Follow the user manual.
- Defective flow sensor. If the sensor is built-in in the electrode, the entire electrode must be replaced. If the sensor is a standalone spare part, replace the flow sensor only. This depends on the year of manufacture of the saltwater system.
From 2025, the new INTEX QS700 is available on the market. The display messages on this model of saltwater system differ from those on other models. Please see the user manual of this product.
